Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law
I follow the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). If a product has a major fault, you're entitled to a refund or replacement. For minor issues, I'll repair, replace, or refund. Nothing in this policy limits your ACL rights.
Change of Mind Returns
Changed your mind? No worries — here's how it works:
- Original Paintings: Return within 14 days of delivery, in original condition and packaging
- Fine-Art Prints: Return within 14 days if unopened and in resaleable condition
- Custom Commissions: Not eligible for change-of-mind returns (these are made just for you!)
- Framed-to-order prints: Not eligible unless faulty
For Australian orders, I'll provide a return label. Return shipping cost is deducted from your refund unless the item arrived damaged or faulty.
Arrived Damaged or Not What You Ordered?
Oh no! Please contact me within 48 hours with photos of the packaging and artwork. I'll arrange a replacement or full refund and cover return shipping if it was damaged in transit.
International Returns
International customers are responsible for return freight and any customs duties. I keep the return window open because I want you to buy with confidence, wherever you are in the world.
Exchanges
Want to swap for a different piece? I'm happy to help! Get in touch and we'll work something out. If there's a price difference, I'll let you know before we proceed.
Refund Timeline
Once I receive your return, refunds are processed within 5–7 business days back to your original payment method.
How to Start a Return
Simply email me at abstractbysonal@gmail.com with your order number, the item you'd like to return, and the reason. I'll get back to you with the next steps.
